If there is anything that my husband always seems to need more of, it's underwear. You know how people always joke about a child receiving socks or underwear for birthdays or Christmas? Well, my husband, on the other hand, could not be more excited to receive underwear as a gift. I'd like to believe that I have truly mastered my underwear gift giving skills. We don't focus on the basics from Macy's, Instead, I try to always find something new and exciting that is sure to bring all day comfort. So what would Valentine's Day be without gifting my husband new underwear?
Now before we get started, I wanted to apologize ahead of time since I unfortunately could not get my husband to model the underwear in these photos for us. I know what a bummer...

My husband and I have been married for quite some time now, and we still celebrate Valentine's Day every year! We celebrate in different ways each time, but a common theme as of lately is that we enjoy staying home. We don't particularly enjoy fighting the crowd on Valentine's Day at our local restaurants, so we'll typically go out for dinner the weekend following Valentine's Day.
Especially since we spend Valentine's Day at home, we want to make sure that we are comfy. This Valentine's Day my husband and I will be cooking a steak dinner together in our matching Shinesty underwear that brings the fun and comfort! Considering I'm a personal trainer who loves all things fitness, I do tend to live in activewear or athleisure. However, when I do choose to dress up and wear more casual clothes, I do love fashion and following trends. I love styling a cute outfit whether it's for lunch with the gals or even a trip to the mall. Considering that I'm also back to in person classes, I can't be dressing like a total bum everywhere I go! This Spring season, I've been styling some awesome pieces from Light in the Box and I wanted to show you guys some of my favorite items.
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and thinking of gift ideas for my husband has never been more difficult! Christmas, my husband’s Birthday, and Valentine’s Day are all a month apart from each other, so I am truly running out of gift ideas.
My husband is the type of person who never really wants anything. He rarely ever mentions something he wants, so when he does, I make sure to jump on that opportunity. At the beginning of the month, I bought him a mug with one of those cheesy Valentine's Day messages because he’s a huge fan of Dad jokes. It wasn’t my best gift idea, but I knew it was something small that would make him happy. Then one day when I was heading to the mall he asked if I could buy him some boxers. I could have just bought him plain boxers from Macy’s, but I decided to have some fun with it. With his passion for dad jokes and his want for some new boxers in mind, I stumbled across LazyOne’s Funny Men's Boxers. Everything about that screamed my husband's name and I knew I had finally found the perfect gift that I was excited about too. After two years, I am finally going be back on campus in person this semester! After endless Zoom University classes, I need to be prepared for when I go back, meaning finding clothes that make me feel good! Considering I've been wearing PJs for nearly every class for the past couple years, I still want to find the perfect combination of comfort and style when I go back to campus, and with Pre-Internet I've been able to do so exactly!
My daughters are officially done with the first three weeks of school, and they are already quite stressed out. They're both still doing a majority of their classes online, and of course being stuck in their rooms all day, staring at their computer screens is no fun. We are still being very mindful about being COVID safe, so my daughters don't exactly get to have the college experience of interacting with tons of people in classes, or the inevitable college party. That being said, it never hurts to surprise them with a little gift, even though there's no special occasion. About Fun.comThe FUN.com dream began in 1992 when the Fallenstein family found a unique way to bring fun and joy to their Minnesota community. Julie and Lisa Fallenstein decided to take 50 Halloween costumes their mom, Jenice, had made for them growing up and rent them out of their small garage for Halloween. The idea was an immediate success and quickly grew into a rental shop called Costumes Galore. The entire Fallenstein family pitched in and grew this small idea into a successful local business.
In 2003, Tom Fallenstein built a website that brought the shop online and they were greeted with almost immediate success once again. That success and growth continues to this day! Now they are one of the largest online retailers of exclusive clothing, unique collectibles, and awesome gifts you won't find anywhere else. |
