Hi everyone! This will be another post by Nicky, Mommy Review Time's youngest daughter, as this was a product that is definitely up my alley! That being said, I can't believe we're already in March! It seems like just yesterday it was New Year's Day and everyone was setting their New Year's Resolutions. How are your New Year's Resolutions going? I know a lot of people like to set fitness goals as their New Year's Goals, and I'm not sure if my mom has ever mentioned it here on the blog, but I'm a personal trainer at my local gym. I love all things fitness and would say I'm pretty experienced in the fitness industry. Although I do spend a lot of time at the gym, I absolutely love working out at home and working out with my family in the comfort of our own home. Last May I took my first Spin class at my local gym and I absolutely loved it. The only bad thing was that classes were only offered in the early morning or late afternoon while I was still in class. I haven't been to a spin class since last year, but I would constantly wish I could ride again. We recently received the MobiFitness Turbo Exercise bike and I have been having a blast riding it at home. Turbo Exercise Bike
TURBO INSTALLATION
I watched the installation guide video that I found by scanning the QR code on the instruction manual, so I didn't even have to read anything to set up the bike! The video made it incredibly simple for me and I had the bike set up in a little over 30 minutes. I was so impressed with how everything works and you can truly tell that so much thought was put into designing this bike. |
Immediately after setting the bike up, I changed into my workout clothes, and put on my running shoes to give the bike a spin. My first thought was that the bike is so quiet! I expected it to to make way more noise especially when I turned it on a higher resistance or even when I was pedaling faster, but it consistently made little to no noise. If I really wanted to, I could bike at midnight and I wouldn't have to worry about waking anyone up! |
I was most impressed with the digital dial that controls the bike's resistance. With the old, classic stationary bikes at my gym, although effective, you have to crank the dial to control the resistance and I can never keep track of what resistance I'm on. With a digital dial, the number is displayed right there and it makes it so easy and convenient especially when I'm already out of breath mid workout trying to control the resistance. |
I especially like how the bike includes a stand for you to set down an iPad, a phone, or maybe even a book. I like to prop up my iPad and play a spin class that I find on YouTube, that way it doesn't feel like I'm riding alone and I have a form of motivation.
The bike is also adjustable! Not only can you change the height of the seat, but also the handle height, and seat position. Everything you could ask, for in a stationary exercise bike (and more) is included on the Turbo Exercise Bike. Every time I ride this bike I can't help but think about how genius every single feature/design on the bike is. |
TURBO APP
The Turbo app offers a variety of workouts for you to follow along and I think these are specifically helpful for beginner riders who don't know where to start. Even as a more advanced rider, I had a lot of fun following these workouts and they were definitely challenging! And the best part of the workouts is that you don't even need a subscription! The app connects to the bike via bluetooth, and with the app you can track your workouts, including statistics on your average RPM, average speed, average resistance, and estimated calories burned. I especially like that not only is that information displayed to me during my workout, but it also saves all my information. I don't have to go out of my way to record the information myself. As long as I start a session in the app, my workout will be saved! |
Overall Review
I could not be happier with this bike, it is extremely sturdy, has a simple design, and there's an amazing app! There's really nothing more I could ask for. I really enjoy being able to just hop on the bike whenever I have free time to get a quick sweat in. I highly recommend playing your favorite song while riding, as music can make the biggest difference. Ultimately, find a way to make it enjoyable and don't see it as a chore, but rather a privilege to be able to exercise. I also think that a stationary bike is a great way for people at all fitness levels to get introduced to a light form of cardio. It can be adjusted to be as intense or relaxed as you want.
I've been encouraging my mom to hop on the bike for even just 15 minutes a day and even though she may not be at the advanced levels of standing while riding and switching resistance levels, she is still getting some form of exercise in. Something my mom enjoys doing is putting on her favorite show or a YouTube video and watching something while she rides, so it isn't as boring.

I've been obsessed with spin classes lately but going to classes have been getting so expensive! I should really invest in my own bike at home

I sent this to my husband hoping he'll get me one for my birthday. I've been eyeing a stationary bike for months now!

I love the digital resistance dial! I can never tell when an instructor tells me to give it another "half a crank"
