Now that my family and I have slowly been transitioning to a vegan diet, it's become more clear to us how many vegan options there are and how easy they are to find! Something we've noticed is that there are many cereals that are almost vegan, but still include a few animal-derived micro ingredients. I always do a quick google search before making a purchase. Something along the lines of "Is ______ vegan," and with the amazing power of the internet, the answer is in my hands within seconds. One of the brands that offer many 100% vegan cereal options is Kashi. Kashi recently released their new Super Loops cereal created by kids, for kids (or honestly, even adults). About Kashi By KidsWith the help of the Kashi Kids Crew, a group of Gen Z leaders ranging from 13 to 17 years old who are passionate about sustainability, food, health, and the environment, Kashi added two new cereals to their Kashi by kids line, where every product is created by kids, for kids. The kids shared what was important to them in a new cereal, and this allowed Kashi to create a cereal that kids actually want to eat. Kashi produces nutritious plant-based foods including cereals and snacks with curated ingredients and is still the #1 natural and organic cereal brand.
We love the fruity taste of the cereal, and thankfully it's not overly sweet (I'm not a fan of super sweet things). What makes it even better is that the cereal contains all natural coloring and flavors from natural sources, which is exactly the type of food I want to be feeding my family! Sometimes in the middle of the night I hear the sound of cereal making contact with our ceramic bowls, and to no surprise, my husband is pouring a bowl of cereal as a midnight snack. We went through two boxes in two weeks. I don't know if that's a norm for other families, but in this household, that is incredibly rare for us. As I write this post, snacking on some super loops myself, we are down to our last bag and my girls are arguing over portions, making sure that it's shared evenly. This cereal truly did release my daughters' inner youth to the point where they're back to fighting over random things like a box of cereal. The new cereals are available nationwide at Walmart, Amazon, Ahold, Jewel, Hannaford, and additional stores. Check out their website to learn more about their cereals and to find a store near you! Be sure to check out Kashi on their social media channels: Thanks for reading!
